You will be able to list your name as an author on any application (med school, residency, etc.) under the Publications section.
Your name will be on the contributing or associate author page in the book and you'll be able to buy the textbook and bring it to interviews and show them you are an author of a book that is potentially used by thousands of premeds.

5 LEVELS OF AUTHORSHIP
Author: Writes most of the book, edits the entire book and coordinates all the authors
Contributing Author (10): Contributes, writes, or creates images in 1.5 sections of the book
Associate Author (8): Contributes/writes in 1 section of the book
Special Acknowledgements (∞): Edits the book or offers new suggestions for the book
Acknowledgments (∞): Helps promote the book in any way (social media, book tours, etc.)
Due to the limited number of spots for Contributing and Associate Author, those positions will be based on the amount of work you contributed. The rest of the contributors will be placed in special or general acknowledgments with the opportunity to rise to higher levels in future editions.
PLAN
1) Get permissions from some authors on reddit and discord to use their materials in book (if they say no, it's still okay)
2) Get a name for the company that will write the book.
3) Incorporate and set up the terms and conditions for the publishing house (the book is going to be self-published)
4) Figure out the financial disclosures (because in the future, I want to publish papers about MCAT and I don't want financial conflicts of interest)
5) Table of Contents (already written)
6) Write and organize materials (already written, just need to edit and organize the information in the Kindle Format)
7) Submit for publication in January 2019
The completed ebook is free. The physical copy depends on printing/shipping costs.
